Here are the scores of every NFC playoff game this season and then the score of the Superbowl. Point differentials are bolded in parentheses.
---
San Francisco 23, Green Bay 20 (3)
New Orleans 26, Philadelphia 24 (2)
San Francisco 23, Carolina 10 (13)
Seattle 23, New Orleans 15 (8)
Seattle 23, San Francisco 17 (6)
3 + 2 + 13 + 8 + 6 = 32
Seattle 43, Denver 8 (35)
---
That's right, folks. The Seattle Seahawks just won the Superbowl by more points than all the NFC winners won all their games by combined. It goes to show how competitive the NFC was this year.
Strangely enough, the winner of any NFC game Seattle and/or San Francisco played in had a victor with a point total of 23. Imagine the odds that would have garnered in Vegas.

My Views on Harry Potter, Vindicated at Last
In a recent interview, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling just admitted what felt right to me the whole time: that Hermione should have ended up married to Harry, not Ron. Harry and Hermione always made more sense than either Hermione and Ron or Harry and Ginny, considering their common interest in intellectual pursuits and their travels together in Deathly Hallows. (I'm not writing a full-fledged theory here. I'm sure there are plenty of online communities happy to do so.) According to Rowling, "Am I breaking people's hearts by saying this? I hope not." In the case of at least one reader, and likely many others, you've done the opposite.
